Since it’s conception in 2006, CISGWFA has placed Site Coordinators on all secondary campuses within Wichita Falls ISD. The mission of CISGWFA is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. We offer personalized student management services by connecting students and families with academic & community resources to ensure student success. CISGWFA offers a structured, research-based Stay In School program focused on goals and outcomes to empower student achievement.

Toni Alonzo
Executive Director of Communities In Schools, Greater Wichita Falls Area

Toni Alonzo, born, raised, and educated in Wichita Falls, Texas, has been with Communities In Schools of Greater Wichita Falls Area for 11 years. After serving as a CIS Site Coordinator, Toni has made Communities In Schools of Greater Wichita Falls Area a top priority, as she sits as Executive Director today. With her personal mission to assist in the empowerment of individuals through education for the purpose of achieving a productive and successful society, Toni has stayed dedicated to serving not only her hometown, but especially the youth in her community.

As Executive Director, Toni inspires her team by her on-going passion in collaborating with district and campus staff to offer personalized student management services by connecting students and families with academic and community resources to ensure student success.

“Communities In Schools recognizes that if basic needs are not met, then children are unable to learn. Working with each school’s staff, Communities In Schools identifies students who lack basic needs such as food, clothing and shelter, and utilizes community resources to assist with meeting these needs. “
